No room for Ronaldo? Bale and Messi take centre stage on FIFA 14 front cover

Cover stars: Gareth Bale and Lionel Messi feature on the front of the FIFA 14 computer game

As if Gareth Bale's introduction at Real Madrid wasn't hard enough, the Welshman will now have to soothe a few damaged egos after being placed on the front cover of the FIFA 14 computer game.
Bale made a big entrance at the Bernabeu, unveiled to the crowds as the world's most expensive player, and his arrival threatened Cristiano Ronaldo's position as the club's top dog.
The 24-year-old was so conscious of damaging the pecking order that, on his first day, he felt the need to declare that Ronaldo is still Madrid's best player.
But to add a little more fuel to the fire, Ronaldo has been left of this year's front cover, which instead features Bale and Barcelona star Lionel Messi.
Ronaldo and Messi have been the face of El Classico in recent seasons, regarded as the world's two best players, but £86m Bale could be about to disturb the balance.
Bale came off the bench for Wales on Tuesday night, playing his first half an hour of competitive football this season following foot and groin injuries.
The former Tottenham man could make his Madrid debut against Villarreal on Saturday.
But his much-anticipated first game could be at left back after both Marcelo and Fabio Coentrao picked up injuries during the international break.
